Process

1. The class will be divided into groups of 4.

2. Each team member needs to print a copy of the presidential fact sheet from the Resource page.

3. Each team member will choose one of the four presidents from a hat(to keep it fair) to research.

4. Team members will sit at their own computer and fill out the fact sheet on their assigned president.

5. After filling out the fact sheet, the groups will organize again to discuss their findings.

6. Determine as a group which of the four presidents deserves to be on the new coin.

7. Take the fact sheet of your chosen president and create a 4 slide Power Point presentation about why this president deserves to be on the new 99 cent coin.

8. When all groups are finished, the groups will give a presentation and the class as a whole will make the final decision of who they think is the best choice.

NOTE: You may not print anything except for the Presidential Fact Sheet. Take notes and fill out your Presidential Fact Sheet with all the information you need to make your argument. You may use pictures in your Power Point, but they will be copied from the internet onto your Power Point. Make sure you site your references (make a 5th slide to list the websites you took information from).
